Name Change
After due consideration the Domain name has been changed since the previous name was simply a geographical location which has become stale and dull after the shortest possible time. GeminiOneStudio has greater personal connections which I am happy to explain if asked.

Downloads and where do files go to
Was suprised to see that GeminiOneStudio tracks are now appearing on loads of MP3 file sharing sites. In some cases the files have been downloaded in other cases the files have been linked.
This is a development which is not welcome since control over what happens to the music and the setting of the music been lost. It is against GeminiOneStudio ethics that these files should be placed with files of a questionable nature since the intention is to ensure that all of Geminionestudio songs are accessible to the whole family from the teenager to the grandparents.
Steps which have been taken to mitigate against this from spreading:

- Download of files facility removed
- File embedding elsewhere now restricted to only me
- Masterlink name changed to GeminiOneStudio. This action should disrupt all the MP3 file sharing sites which claim to only have a link to the original file. However it will also disable all tweets and e-mail links already sent out.
- On request to download a file I will make it available by Soundcloud secret link. No request means no download. It is with deep regret that these actions have been taken but my hand was forced.

This tweet just came through. This is going to be one of the biggest hits coming out of Germany. I will post the link to their SoundCloud stuff and the track which has got about 500 hits which is the equivalent of 5000 YouTube hits and for an original work which is unheard of. These guys are going to be megastars and yet they took the time to listen to some of my stuff. Awesome.

Perhaps yes I am buying a stairway to heaven and singing like people have done for thousands of years and I'm singing well-known songs like people have done for thousands of years.
But I am using a new technology which has a global reach. So far my songs , my covers of well known songs, have been heard by people from Australia to Chile to Canada to Russia to Africa and of course to Europe. Never before in history has been possible for a complete unknown singer to sing to a global audience. But with this reach also comes a great responsibility. A responsibility to ensure that listeners are entertained , that listeners are intrigued and that listeners want to listen to the next song or watch the next video. Listeners should never feel embarrassed or awkward by what they hear over the Internet.
What am I saying? I have a responsibility to ensure that quality above all is paramount. If I'm doing a video my priority should still be to ensure that the sound quality is as good as it can possibly be, even if I look slightly awkward as I attempt to sing something with my face screwed up.

Covers Covers Covers
This blog is going to be solely about my attempts to produce covers of well known songs on YouTube and SoundCloud. It will also promote artists that I have had direct contact with although how much that will help given my limited circle of musical friends is unknown.
This blog should be taken in context of those accounts.
Why do people do covers of songs? Well not everyone has the ability to write or compose songs. And since people want to sing they sing songs that others have created. Adam Smith's division of labour.
